Meridian was built to solve a problem private markets investors knows too well: outdated, inefficient software that slows down dealmaking. After years of seeing top firms struggle with clunky CRMs and disconnected workflows, we set out to build something better.
Meridian unifies data, automation, and AI-powered insights to help investors source smarter, move faster, and make more data-driven decisions. Our goal is simple: to redefine how private markets manage deal flow in the modern era.

Alex Sen is the Founder and CEO of Meridian, the next-gen CRM and deal management platform transforming how private equity firms source and close deals.
With nearly a decade of experience at top firms like Blackstone, Thoma Bravo, and CVC, Alex knows the challenges that hold dealmakers back. He’s seen how outdated, clunky CRMs create more problems than they solve - slowing teams down, siloing critical data, and leaving firms scrambling to piece together insights from disconnected tools.
Determined to solve these problems, Alex founded Meridian in 2023. Meridian gives private equity professionals the edge they need to compete at the highest level: helping them win the best deals, maintain long-term relationships, and make the right investment decisions.

Alex Zagoro is the Chief Technology Officer at Meridian AI, where he has led the company’s technical vision and engineering organization since day one. With 15 years of experience building software and running high-performing engineering teams, Alex specializes in taking companies from the earliest stages to fully launched products. He has held lead and platform engineering roles across multiple startups, guiding architecture, backend systems, and AI-driven product development.
At Meridian, Alex built a 25-person, fully in-house engineering team sourced directly from his network. He oversees architecture, infrastructure, and AI strategy for the company’s next-generation PE CRM, now used by firms managing over $200B in assets. After ten years in New York, Alex now lives in Colorado, where he spends his time speedflying, mountaineering, and supporting nonprofit initiatives.

Alex joined Meridian as Head of Product in August 2025. Prior to Meridian, he spent six years developing private markets technology solutions at Juniper Square, building and scaling fund management and reporting products for investment managers and limited partners across private equity, venture capital, and real estate.
Alex previously held product roles at CarGurus, where he supported scaling the company's offerings in international markets, and Squadz, where he focused on early partnerships and product strategy. Alex began his career in M&A advisory with Stifel Financial, guiding private equity-backed companies through sale processes.
Alex received a BA in Economics from Johns Hopkins University and an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth. He lives in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio with his wife and young daughter and enjoys playing hoops, kayaking, and reading.

After more than a decade as a writer and project manager spanning jobs with the federal government, television news, and digital media, Jane pivoted into strategy and operations roles. Prior to joining Meridian, she spent several years serving as Chief of Staff to the Global and North American CEOs of Kepler, a digital media agency, and the Global CEO of Harri, an HR SaaS platform.
Jane lives in Harlem most of the time, but loves Meridian’s remote culture to be able to explore new places the rest of the time. If she didn’t love her work in Operations so much, she would definitely be working one of her dream jobs – contestant on the Great British Bakeoff or Editor in Chief of the Trader Joe’s Fearless Flyer.
