Meridian Now Has a Fundraising Module

For years, the tools available to IR and fundraising teams have been an afterthought. The deal team gets a CRM. The fundraising team gets a spreadsheet.

That gap exists even at firms with sophisticated deal infrastructure. It is not uncommon for a deal team to be running on purpose-built software while the IR team is tracking LP commitments, pipeline stages, and raise progress in Airtable or Excel. Two sides of the same firm, operating on entirely different systems.

Today, Meridian closes that gap. We are shipping a dedicated Fundraising module: a purpose-built place for IR and fundraising teams to run capital raises inside the same platform their deal colleagues already rely on.

What the Fundraising module does

The module introduces two new objects: Funds and Opportunities.

A Fund is the vehicle being raised. You can create funds and entities, set target amounts, and see every linked opportunity in one place. Each fund shows a progress bar reflecting how much has already been committed, so raise status is visible at a glance.

An Opportunity is a prospective LP. You add LPs as opportunities, assign them to one or more funds (up to five per opportunity), and move them through pipeline stages that you define. The pipeline view works the same way teams already know from deal flow management: table view or a drag-and-drop Kanban board, with filters, sorting, and search.

Every LP company and person in Meridian now has an Opportunities tab. It shows what that investor has been shown and what they have committed, across every raise, in one place.

Funds and opportunities are also fully integrated into the rest of Meridian. You can tag them in notes, meetings, emails, and documents. They surface in global search. They appear in the Outlook add-in and Gmail extension. If your team is already logging interactions in Meridian, those interactions now connect to your fundraising activity automatically.

Built for both fund raises and co-investments

The module is designed to handle both fund raises and co-investment raises. The pipeline stage logic is flexible enough to support either, and stages can be configured per workspace to match how your team actually runs a process.

Who this is for

Some firms run deal sourcing and fundraising in the same workspace. Others have dedicated IR teams that operate entirely separately and have no use for a deal pipeline at all. The Fundraising module is built to work in both environments.

For firms with integrated teams, fundraising now lives alongside deal flow in one system. For IR-only teams, the module gives them a standalone home that does not require interacting with the deal side of the platform at all.

If your firm is managing a capital raise in a spreadsheet today, it’s time to move to Meridian. To see the Fundraising module in action, book a 15-minute demo.
